I was in Gig Harbor recently, and saw this little sailboat. I asked, and was told that her name used to be “Roaring Bessie,” and that she was originally a gilnetter converted into a pleasure boat. Nice lines. Swoopy sheer.
Now named Vixen, and probably the oldest floating boat in Gig Harbor, she’s sitting very low [...]

ELC Dept. of Peace & Neutrality – Because with doughnuts, we will find commonality.
We have a handful of good doughnut places here in town, though sadly, none here in Lake City.
One is called Top Pot, where they’ve successfully mixed our elitist liberal principals with deep fried dough. The other is Mighty-O, where they’ve introduced the concept of a vegan doughnut to our otherwise conservative food sensibilities.
